Ever had a day that you'd like to do over again, to be able to make ever-so-slight changes, so that the result of the day would turn out different? The main character in this animated comedy does exactly that!

Living in a very simple two story home, his routine begins as we wakes up, responding to the mechanical alarm clock beside his bed. He then walks across his room, snatches his work clothes out of the armoire, and after getting dressed, then heads downstairs for breakfast.  As he walks down the staircase, along the wall he notices one of the many grandfather clock pendulum's out of synch. After adjusting it to swing in rhythm with the other clocks, he arrives in the kitchen to make toast, put coffee in his thermos and pour the dog food. With everything in hand, he waits for the clock above the door to tick exactly 8 o'clock, and heads outside. To his alarm, as he is walking through his meticulous front yard, he checks his pocket watch and sees that it's out of synch. Noticably disturbed, he begins walking and tinkering with the clock, placing it next to his ear. He is so consumed with his stopwatch that he walks out into the street, not noticing an oncoming bus. We hear a violent horn blowing, and the screen cuts to black.

In the next scene, we see the main character waking up again, a couple of minutes later than day one, but this time, he observes his character walking towards the amoire, then walking downstairs. At first, he doesn't realize that he can't see his former self; he just observes.  Then, remembering the results of day one, he tries to make things happen differently. He does not succeed, even though he does get out into the yard with his former self, and picks up a knome and throws it at the bus, which hits the windshield, causing the driver to swerve, but the results are the same!

The third day, he discovers that he can observe himself on day one as well as day two...and this time he's more determined to try to prevent his disaster from the first day. He tries everything to stop himself, but he can't interact with his character; his hands go right through his former self!

Finally, on day four, he wakes up even later, right at 8 am, and finds himself in such despair, willing to do anything to stop what happened on day one. With clocks noises reverberating in his head, reaching a climactical peak, he grabs at his mechanical alarm clock and thrusts it at the grandfather clock across the room, shattering the glass, sending clock sprokets everywhere; and then time stands still. It's while time stands still that he's able to avert the disaster!
