Brighter Future: the Way Kids See It - Best Motivational Videos

Kids see things with an open mind...often young people have dreams about what is possible, and don't see the inhibitions that adults do. In one of Unilever's motivational videos, we experience what is possible -- ways to solve problems locally and globally.

Unilever Project Sunlight - The way kids see it (extended version with Township kids) from Penny Buck on Vimeo.

What strikes me about this series of short stories featuring young people from around the globe is that they are dreaming of a brighter future, and they're willing to make it happen! One kid opens, "You're never too young to make a difference. If I find a problem, I'm going to find a way over the problem".

These young people go on to find ways to solve a number of key issues: hunger in the United States, cleaning rubbish from the beach, providing clean drinking water. One girl, Isabella, creates what she calls a "daily idea book." Isabella says, "It comes from my heart and my head," with drawings of inventions that solve problems. Isabella continues, "It's just the prototype, but someday we actually are going to make them into real inventions." Now we're talking! This is the type of innovation that dreams are made of, and we can all learn from this type of optimism!

I can imagine this taking root in communities, cities, counties, states, as well as corporate culture...all over the world!  Teams of people, spurred on by a vision for change, can locally in their own community begin to dream, brainstorm, collaborate, pray and accomplish big things by drawing, discussing, and implementing solutions.

We can all learn from these young people about how to solve problems and make a brighter future!

I share videos like this for two reasons: first, often companies like Unilever (along with the producer) are willing to license this to an organization to inspire your people. Sometimes they also allow us to re-brand it for an organization.

Second, ideas like this spur custom production; if the idea of dreaming of a brighter future appeals to you and your organization, perhaps we can create a video that incorporates your own people, and their innovative prototypes.  As a Producer, I love to create stories like this for organizations, and inspire people to action. I offer a free phone conversation, up to an hour, a value of $100. Contact me directly.
