Surprises in life, including new encounters, are exciting and so wonderful! One of Sony 4K TV's motivational videos aptly captures this feeling...it's like nothing you've ever experienced!
This spot opens with a young girl, Grace Roberts, who lives 300 km from the nearest town with her horse and parents. The announcer mentions that she has never seen an ice cream truck. Then we're introduced to Josh Miller in Italy, who is playing soccer with his buddies; we hear that he has never been to an international soccer game. Then we're introduced to Robert Turnbull, 62 years old, a welder, who has never been to the ocean. "All three of them are about to experience these things for the first time."
The anticipation of the journey is so exciting...watching each of these three make their way across the roads, on the light rail, in a truck, full of wonder! We get a hint of that anticipation in that we hear the sound of an approaching ice cream truck, and we stand behind Josh as he reads the flight departure signs at the airport, and we ride with Robert as he makes his way across the country.
Finally the day arrives. We see an expression on Robert Turnbull's face as he walks onto the sandy beach for the first time! Then we see his delight as he jumps into the cascading waves! Little Grace runs towards the ice cream truck with delight, then selects three scoops piled high on a cone! And Josh Miller stands in awe looking at thousands of fans in an Australian stadium as they cheer the players on the field. Then the closing line, "The New Sony 4K TV...like nothing you've ever experienced!"
This brings me back to first experiences for me...para-sailing over the ocean in Mexico and then over the La Jolla, CA cliffs, sky diving in Eloy, AZ, bungee jumping in the hills of TN, and waiting in line with hundreds of other young people on my first date in Jr High for the first Star Wars release! These firsts are so memorable, so exciting, so enthralling!
