Nike voices features women, one who is 55 years old and runs 75 miles a week, overcome naysayers and is one of the best motivational videos about women achieving all that they want to.In my experience, we all seem to have an inner voice that drives us, that gives us the inspiration to attempt things that seem impossible, things that others don't believe we can achieve.

In one of Nike's motivational videos entitled 'Voices', four female US athletes tell their stories of success, and how it came to be.  "One day I just said, 'it doesn't matter what other people think'", the voice coming from an adult female athlete, while appearing to be spoken by a female youth.

We hear the experience of another female athlete, "They used to say, 'That girl is crazy...but then I just kept on winning'". Another asks the question as a youth, "Somebody's got to be the best...why not me?"

I love the forward looking, possibility thinking of these female athletes who, in retrospect, recognize that they had the determination to make the experience happen, regardless of what others thought about their capability!

    From Creativity-Online:

Nike and Wieden + Kennedy Portland celebrate Title IX with a touching anthem spot, 'Voices.'

Directed by Anonymous Content's Mark Romanek, the spot features four U.S. female athletes: marathoner Joan Benoit Samuelson, boxer Marlen Esparaza, and basketball players Lisa Leslie and Diana Taursai. In tight, close-up shots, each talk about the obstacles they faced growing up. But what makes the work especially effective is the narratives are interspersed with shots of young girls, talking about the same difficulties.

Are you looking to set the tone for a meeting to empower your people to think differently? Do you want to inspire great performance in your team, and at the same time demonstrate how your team can accomplish just about anything they set their mind to?  Contact me about about licensing this spot, or a similar one.

I get asked why it's necessary to license content that is widely available on YouTube? Here's a short answer: YouTube is designed for personal use, not business; copyrights are in place to protect the owner of the content, and often prohibit showing videos in a business setting. The good news is that it's inexpensive to license content like this spot for a business meeting.  And often we receive permission to customize the spot with your organization's brand (assuming you're not a competitor with Nike!).

One of the best things I do is to collaborate with our creative production team. I like to see productions get results! Those results include helping tell the vision of an organization, engaging in a sales effort, helping customers better understand the big picture of an organization, or helping clients see the value of services. One of my favorite compliments is from a client that said, "This is the best tool we've had in over 22 years to tell our story!" Specialties: Making an idea or concept come to life through video media: motivational videos, custom video production, and event production.
