I give $1,000 to kind strangers videoDoing good for others has always been a good idea! This is one of those motivational videos that highlight people around the world who are making a difference in the lives of others.

This motivational video is set to the music "Give a Little Bit" by Supertramp (1977), and opens with the graphic, "For all the kind people out there". The first scene focuses in on the handlebars of one bicycle rider, decorated with flying streamers. The rider's name is Natalia Anderson, 29, and people tell her that she's crazy...we see a business man flagging down a taxi, and while his hand is up, Natalia rides by on her bike and high-fives the guy. Next, to highlight a second story, we see two cars approaching a toll booth, and then we suddenly have the point of view of the toll booth worker from inside the car with Candice Hatting, 29, paying the toll for the car behind her. The third scene is in a hospital room with helium balloons decorating the bed. And we see Juliana Pars, 17, handing her own birthday present to a little girl, who promptly unwraps it to reveal a doll.  A fourth story begins with a close up of a newspaper headline, "Paperboy Jack saves pensioner from fire in house", and we see Jack and an elderly man sitting on a park bench, the elderly man brimming with exuberance as he displays the newspaper headline; he then gives Jack Randall, 14, a big hug. Our next short story...we're following a silhouette of a man through the city, with rays of light streaming into the camera. "I give $1000 to kind strangers" - an Anonymous giver who is 39. We see the excitement of the recipient's face, but not the giver's face.  Then we're above the city at night, with three people sneaking around in hooded jackets, then we transition to the same three people running along a busy street at night; one runner has a potted tree in their hand. "I plant trees all over the city", is the text for Lea Du Plessis, 22. Then we're witnessing the story of a guy who is throwing rope over a tree, then over a light pole. "I hang swings everywhere", says the text about Jeff Waldman, 29. Those who enjoy these long swings include an elated middle aged man in a business suit having the time of his life with laughter.  Then the final story, Jeremy Gilly, 43, is speaking to packed crowds of people, with the title "I want to stop war for a day".

The conclusion of this spot features Jeremy drinking a coca-cola, followed by several shots of people enjoying the fruits of the labors of Natalia, Candice, Jack, Lea and Jeff.

These are all admirable acts, and yet there are hundreds of these acts done daily around my city, and your city, without any recognition whatsoever! People caring for others, doing things like spending time with those who have been set aside: the disabled, widows and orphans! And yet, this inspirational video paints a wonderful picture of what it might be like if individuals from organizations around the globe joined in, and did one act to make a small difference in the lives of those in the city.

Many organzations are involved in corporate philanthropy; this inspirational video could be used to set the tone for a corporate meeting, i.e. 'We're changing the world, one life at a time".

I know that the purpose of blogs (and philanthropy) are generally not meant for self promotion. And yet, one reason I write this weekly blog is to provide ideas for custom production, or to suggest that one of our team who specializes in licensing motivational videos like this one, can license "Let's Go Crazy" and customize the conclusion with an organization logo (in lieu of the Coca-Cola branding). Oftentimes, these spots can be legally licensed and customized for any organization. Use the button below to get started.

One of the best things I do is to collaborate with our creative production team. I like to see productions get results! Those results include helping tell the vision of an organization, engaging in a sales effort, helping customers better understand the big picture of an organization, or helping clients see the value of services. One of my favorite compliments is from a client that said, "This is the best tool we've had in over 22 years to tell our story!" Specialties: Making an idea or concept come to life through video media: motivational videos, custom video production, and event production.
